Improvement Project | Quinnipiac University Residential Life - Laundry Facilities
I led a facilities improvement initiative across three residence halls to address concerns regarding laundry room safety, reliability, and availability. After collecting and analyzing feedback from 258 residents, I developed and presented a proposal recommending equipment upgrades to better meet resident needs. Through negotiations with the laundry vendor, I secured the recommended improvements at no additional cost to the institution and without affecting the existing service contract.
The project was approved and successfully completed, resulting in new laundry equipment that enhanced safety, improved machine reliability and availability, and provided a stronger residential experience for students. This initiative highlighted my ability to use assessment data, advocate for student needs, manage external partnerships, and lead operational improvements from proposal to implementation.

Involvement | Quinnipiac University Residential Life - Campus Partners Collaboration
Collaborated with campus partners to develop and facilitate educational programs that enhanced student engagement and well-being. It included a partnership with the Office of Inclusive Excellence to coordinate an educational event series that fostered inclusion, dialogue, and community building. In addition, it included a partnership with our Student Health Services (operated by Hartford HealthCare) to host interactive cooking classes within the residence halls.
Involvement | Quinnipiac University Residence Hall Association - Golf Cart Initiative
The “Golf Cart Initiative” was a student-focused initiative designed to bring positivity and a sense of community directly to students through interactive activities. Serving as a creative platform to raise awareness of the Residence Hall Association (RHA).
Initially, I developed it to boost student morale and provide encouragement heading into finals in Spring 2025. The initiative was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from students and received support from Interim Associate Dean of Students Barbara Fienman. Its popularity and positive impact led to a campus tradition occurring periodically throughout each semester. Its success was evident in the excitement it generated, with students often going out of their way to locate the cart!

This collage project incorporates the important frameworks needed as the foundation for understanding the important aspects of all student populations on college campuses. Student affairs professionals need to create inclusive environments and utilize universal design while constructing physical environments that are fully accessible and organizational environments that are completely fair and just for all types of impairments.

This research study focuses on the language used for “Disability Services” at Salem State University. Whether the office name and mission statement are equitable for the group of students that would use these services. Questions are raised about inclusion barriers and stigma attached to the name and terminology used. This research includes a sample evaluation of institutions that have recently changed the language from “Disability Services” to “Accessibility Services”. Examining the equities involving the language used and stigmatization of students with disabilities and the impact on college campuses including Salem State University.

This executive summary report explores the available services offered by “Disability Services” at Salem State University. Incorporating the mission statement by the office, goals to achieve, learning outcomes that measure the degree of learning taking place, and the assessment methods used will take the data and use it to modify or improve the program that is currently taking place.

Involvement | Salem State University Residence Hall Association - Events
Past programs I have coordinated range from on-campus events such as Welcome to Campus Carnivals to one of the most popular college events, BINGO NIGHT! They also included off-campus events such as trips to Sky Zone and movie trips! In addition, they show my participation in student orientations, accepted student days, team building, and the annual Salem Haunted Happenings parade.
